Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Supervisor to lead a small team of Catering Operatives and Food Service Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services that meet client expectations and company standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys leading a team, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of Catering Operatives and Food Service Assistants.

Ensure food service delivery meets client specifications and company standards.
-
Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of team members.

Deliver a positive and welcoming customer experience.

Manage cash handling, banking, and stocktaking activities.

Become proficient in company systems including e-prophIT, POS, Drive, and BITE.

Support the Catering Manager in achieving agreed KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and client requirements.

Assist with training and mentoring team members where required.

Respond positively to reasonable management requests and operational needs.

Provide flexible cover during periods of holiday or staff absence.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills
-
Previous catering experience.
-
Experience carrying out a variety of catering tasks.
-
Good computer literacy skills.
-
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
-
Understanding of food safety, health and safety, and relevant legislation.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Desirable Skills
-
Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
-
NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent catering qualification.

Food Hygiene Level 3 Certificate (or willingness to complete company training).
