Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs during busy service times
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored according to health standards
- Support the organization of ingredients and supplies to facilitate efficient food prep and cooking
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations before and after service shifts
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with basic food preparation, cleaning procedures, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Experience working in hotels or culinary settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory
