Job Title: Programme Manager
Function: Supply Chain Modernisation – Delivery
Location: Hybrid Worker – Expectation is two days per week on site at our Nottingham office
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Offered on a starting salary of £65,920 with the potential to increase to £77,553 over the course of three years. Plus a car allowance of £7000

The NHS Supply Chain has an opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join our Supply Chain Modernisation programme during an exciting period of complex transformation. This role will play a key part in driving the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects / a sub-programme within the overarching programme that underpin our long-term transformation goals and organisational vision.
The programme will impact many parts of the organisation as well as our customers and suppliers. Effective programme and project delivery is critical to ensuring that change is implemented successfully and that expected benefits and outcomes are realised for patients, customers and the business.
Every day you will …
- Lead the delivery of complex projects / a sub-programme within the Supply Chain Modernisation Programme, ensuring alignment to programme objectives and priorities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale operational, technology, digital and knowledge-related programmes and projects, ensuring successful integration across people, process, data and technology.
- Ensure consistent control and alignment across multiple sub-programmes / projects / workstreams
- Drive delivery against time, quality and cost from an individual project as well as overarching sub-programme / programme perspective.
- Proactively identify risks, issues and dependencies ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are developed and escalated where required.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
- Recognised programme or project management qualification (e.g. MSP Foundation/Practitioner, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent).
- Significant experience delivering large-scale projects, programmes or business transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple interdependent projects and workstreams within a structured delivery framework.
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
