Day Secure Ltd is looking for an experienced CCTV and alarm engineer to join our growing security division.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering the installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding of CCTV, intruder alarm and associated security systems across residential and commercial properties.
We are looking for someone who can work confidently on their own, take pride in their workmanship and represent the company professionally while working at customers’ properties.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Installing and commissioning CCTV systems
- Installing intruder alarms and associated detection equipment
- Servicing and maintaining existing CCTV and alarm systems
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Installing cabling, network equipment and associated security hardware
- Setting up remote viewing, mobile applications and user access
- Completing installation and service reports
- Explaining completed systems clearly to customers
- Attending residential, commercial and managed properties
- Ensuring all work is completed neatly, safely and to a high standard
During quieter periods within Day Secure Ltd, there may also be opportunities to assist with suitable works across our wider group of companies. This helps provide consistent full-time employment and offers greater variety within the role.
Experience Required
Previous experience within the CCTV, alarm or electronic security industry is essential.
Applicants should have:
- Proven experience installing and servicing CCTV systems
- Experience installing and servicing intruder alarms
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IP CCTV systems and basic networking
- Experience with system setup, programming and commissioning
- The ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional, reliable and tidy approach to work
- A full UK driving licence
Experience with access control, intercom systems, automated gates, fire alarms or monitoring systems would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with occasional additional hours depending on customer requirements and emergency call-outs.
