Activity Lead / Wellbeing Coordinator – Marion Lauder House
Location: Marion Lauder House, Wythenshawe, Manchester
Hours: Full Time – 40 Hours per Week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (£14.00) per hour

We believe that life in a care home should be meaningful, engaging and enjoyable, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Activity Lead to help make every day special for our residents.
The Role
As our Activity Lead, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of activities, events and outings that promote wellbeing, independence and social engagement. You will take the time to get to know our residents, their life stories, hobbies and interests, ensuring activities are tailored to individual preferences and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a weekly programme of meaningful group and one-to-one activities.
- Organise themed events, celebrations, entertainers and community engagement opportunities.
- Support residents to maintain existing hobbies and discover new interests.
- Arrange outings and excursions, completing appropriate risk assessments.
- Encourage participation and ensure activities are inclusive for all residents, including those living with dementia.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and local community groups.
- Work closely with care teams to ensure activities support residents' wellbeing and care plans.
- Capture and share memorable moments through newsletters, social media and displays within the home.
- Manage activity budgets and maintain activity records.
What We're Looking For
- A positive, energetic and caring personality.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Creativity and confidence in leading groups and events.
- Experience in activities, wellbeing, care or customer-facing roles is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential.
