About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions, working closely with the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team to maintain the highest standards of patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions in line with SOPs
- Identifying and resolving any discrepancies before medication reaches the patient
- Supporting the pharmacist with the safe and efficient running of the dispensary
- Maintaining accurate records in line with GPhC and NHS standards
- Assisting with stock management and ordering where required
- Providing guidance and support to dispensing staff
What You'll Need to Have:
- A recognised ACT qualification (or working towards one)
- Previous experience working within a community pharmacy setting
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
