BGirls Kitchen is a fast-growing Afro-Caribbean soul food and seafood kitchen serving premium seafood boils, munch boxes and loaded meals across East and South East London.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs during service, help prepare fresh ingredients, maintain high food hygiene standards and ensure every order leaves the kitchen to the highest standard.
Experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients before service.
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly following BGirls Kitchen recipes and standards.
- Portion sides, sauces and garnishes accurately.
- Pack customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and workstations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen throughout the shift.
- Restock ingredients, packaging and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with stock rotation and food storage.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Follow all food hygiene, allergen, health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential.
