We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in need within their homes and care facilities. The role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients across a range of care settings. Candidates should be committed to delivering respectful and personalised care, fostering a comfortable environment for those they support. Duties
- Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support, particularly for clients with Dementia or Alzheimer's
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings as required
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is desirable
- Knowledge of patient care, Dementia, Alzheimer's
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on senior and behavioural care management
- Ability to administer medication safely and perform basic first aid procedures
- Excellent communication skills and empathetic nature
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual health requirements
- Driving Licence preferred
- Childcare experience is advantageous for supporting families or younger clients
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
