Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.
Great opportunity to join our Team, working early or day shifts, Monday to Friday, on a six months fixed term contract as a Warehouse Operative-Fork Lift Truck Driver!
You will prepare and dispatch customer orders from stock held at the company warehouse sites, as well as ensure priority orders are processed and sent on time. In addition you will load and unload materials from a variety of vehicles including Forklift Trucks and Reach Trucks.
Working as part of the Warehouse Team, this role involves co-operative working with other team members and pro-actively seeking jobs to carry out, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.

Load & unload materials from a variety of vehicles including Forklift Trucks and Reach Trucks

Unload stock from transport, following Goods-In Procedures

Use in house scanners to pick and pack orders, achieving dispatch within specified timescales

Check loads are secure
-
Moving pallet-packed materials around the site storage facility/company warehouse

Carry out accurate order picking with minimal errors
-
Carry out accurate stock checking and inventory as required
-
Use in-house computer system to produce despatch notes and invoices
-
Achieve targets and job standards set by the Warehouse Manager/Operations Team

Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance
-
Follow written instructions and keep up to date records
-
Perform any reasonable request from the Warehouse Shift Manager/Operations Team

Keep work areas clean and tidy
-
Follow Health & Safety rules and maintain high standards rigorously

Communicate effectively with other team members, Operations Team and Warehouse Manager
To join us as a Warehouse Operative-Fork Lift Truck Driver you must have:
Essential
-
Hold valid Counterbalance and Reach licences
-
Hold a valid UK driving licence
-
Significant experience of operating a variety of vehicles including Forklift Trucks and Reach Trucks

Ability to learn an in-house computer and scanning system

Adaptable and flexible in your approach to work

Good communication skills, with the ability to listen and follow instructions accurately

Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
