Arthur’s House is delighted to be working on behalf of a warm, busy, and welcoming family based in Camberwell, South London, to find a proactive, creative, and warm-hearted Blended-Hours Nanny / Family Assistant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys balancing developmental childcare with household organisation, offering a guaranteed and consistent year-round income.
Location: Camberwell, SE London
Start Date: August, 2026
Children: Girl (turning 5 in October) Boy (3.5 years old)
Salary: Up to £40,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
Hours & Schedule: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, paid consistently throughout the year (Annualised/Blended Hours) - Can we worked over 4 days per week if needed.
Key Responsibilities1. Childcare & Development
- School Routines: Managing drop-offs and collections at Herne Hill School (conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the train station).
- Educational Support: Supporting the children with homework, reading, and early learning. Both are in a crucial development phase and will be attending the same school form September.
- Outdoor & Creative Exploration: Planning active, adventurous outdoor trips, exploring nearby parks, and leading creative arts, crafts, and play at home.
- Household:
- Preparing children’s meals and snacks; keeping the kitchen tidy after use
- Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas clean and organised
- Children’s laundry (washing, folding, putting away)
- Keeping on top of children’s school/nursery admin (bags, uniforms, packed items)
- Restocking children’s essentials (nappies/toiletries/clothing) and flagging what needs ordering
- Babysitting: Occasional babysitting
- Travel: Occasional flexibility to travel with the family on holidays is a nice-to-have, but not essential.

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Right to Work in the UK
- Excellent professional childcare references
