Railway Road Dental Surgery is looking for a caring, motivated and professional Dental Nurse to join our friendly team for two days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a practice that has recently come under new ownership. We are investing in the future of the practice, with plans to enhance our facilities, expand our services and continue improving the experience we provide for both our patients and our team.
As a key member of our clinical team, you will work alongside our dentists and clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive and professional environment.
The Role
You will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of our surgeries, providing high-quality chairside support and helping to deliver excellent clinical care and patient experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining a safe, clean and efficient clinical environment.
- Providing high-quality chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures.
- Supporting the delivery of both NHS and private dental treatments.
- Maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
- Preparing, mixing and handling dental materials and equipment.
- Recording accurate, contemporaneous patient records and dental charting.
- Preparing equipment, materials and patients for dental radiography, including processing radiographs.
- Monitoring, supporting and reassuring patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Providing appropriate oral health advice and post-treatment guidance.
- Responding appropriately in medical emergencies and supporting the wider clinical team.
- Making referrals to other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and maintaining an exceptional standard of patient care.
