The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 2 - 5
Create engaging, nurturing, and enabling environments
Support children’s curiosity, creativity, and independence
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Observe, assess, and plan in line with the EYFS
Work collaboratively as part of a passionate team
Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are always prioritised
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent)
Has a genuine passion for early years education
Understands or is interested in the Curiosity Approach ethos
Is warm, patient, and enthusiastic
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to creating magical childhood experiences
Experience within an early years setting is preferred, but we also welcome practitioners who are eager to learn and grow within our approach.

Essential
Skills, aptitude, knowledge and experience
- Enthusiasm for working with young children
- An interest in the care, learning and
development of young children
- A commitment to the provision of high quality
childcare
- A positive approach to learning and gaining new
skills through teamwork and training opportunities
- Childcare Qualification of Level 3 or above
Personal qualities
- Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills

- Excellent communication skills, with children,
colleagues, advisors and parents/carers

- Reliability and trustworthiness
- A positive approach to inclusive practice, with children and colleagues
Qualifications
- A positive approach to completing relevant short courses and qualifications
- Some understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace
- Completion of a recognised Level 2 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 2 Certificate for the Children & Young People’s Workforce or Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Desirable
Skills, aptitude, knowledge and experience
- Previous experience of caring for, or working with children in a voluntary or paid capacity
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Knowledge of the National Standards for the
regulation of Childcare provision
- Flexibility – occasionally working hours might be changed, e.g. if the setting hosts a Parent’s Evening
- Able to work in small teams
