Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, nursing, childcare, and hospice care.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with mobility, including lifting and transferring clients
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care-related role such as senior care, nursing, or childcare
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques
- Experience in medication administration
- Understanding of hospice care principles
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients
- Willingness to work in home care settings
