Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced multi-drop courier to join our team for an immediate start on a self-employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery and collection of packages between 0-30kg, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to/collected from the correct locations. This role requires the ability to navigate pre-scheduled routes effectively within the designated time windows. A medium-large van, full courier insurance and vehicle fuel will be provided. Guaranteed daily pay of £115 + bonus payments for all successful deliveries and collections above a certain threshold, determined by the type of route being covered. The volume of packages available will allow for earnings up to £180 per day. 5 days minimum out of 7 (at least one weekend day is preferred) with the option to work more to boost weekly earnings. 07:30 start from our Gloucester location.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver packages and documents in a timely manner.
- Operate a medium-large 3.5t gvw van safely while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status.
- Assist in loading and unloading items from the vehicle, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups via a delivery app using your own smartphone.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to organise deliveries efficiently.
- Report any issues or delays in the delivery process promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence with no more than 6 points.
- Age 25+ for insurance purposes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for package handling.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices is advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus.
