We are urgently recruiting 2 experienced Chefs
Caring Hand Services is looking for 2 reliable and experienced Chefs to join the catering team at a new care home in Dartford.
This is an urgent requirement, and we are looking for suitable candidates who are available to start immediately.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for care home residents, while ensuring all food is prepared safely and in line with dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals suitable for care home residents.
* Cater for special dietary requirements, allergies, and modified diets where required.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
* Complete and maintain relevant SFBB (Safer Food, Better Business) records.
* Follow all food safety procedures and care home policies.
* Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
* Work professionally and cooperatively with the care home team.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Chef in a care home or similar setting.
* Experience with SFBB (Safer Food, Better Business).
* Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate.
* Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Understanding of special dietary requirements, allergies, and modified diets.
* Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to start at short notice is highly desirable.
Working Hours
10:00am – 2:00pm
We are looking for candidates who can work:
* Monday to Friday, and/or
* Saturday and Sunday
