We're looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Receptionist to become the welcoming face of DCY Swim School.
As the first point of contact for our families, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for every swimmer and parent who visits us. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in keeping things organised, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Receptionist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception while providing excellent customer service to our swimmers and their families.
Your working hours will mainly be:
Additional hours may be available to provide holiday or sickness cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming swimmers and families to the swim school
- Checking swimmers in for lessons
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Managing bookings and general administration
- Taking payments where required
- Assisting with customer queries in a friendly and professional manner
- Keeping reception and waiting areas clean, tidy and presentable
- Carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the facility
- Conducting routine pool water testing and recording results in accordance with procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or pool-related issues to management
- Supporting the wider team to ensure lessons run smoothly
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Good communication skills
- Organised and able to multitask
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable using computers and learning booking systems
- Happy to carry out cleaning duties as part of the role
Desirable
- Previous reception, customer service or administration experience
- Experience working with children or families
- Experience carrying out pool water testing (training can be provided)
- First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
