Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a children’s residential care facility. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of children and young people, fostering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. Duties
- Lead the overall management and operational running of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review personalized care plans that address each child's unique needs, including emotional wellbeing, education, and health.
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and delivering consistent, high-quality care.
- Oversee medication administration procedures to guarantee safety and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain accurate records related to child progress, incidents, safeguarding concerns, and regulatory documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies to support effective communication and collaborative care.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children by conducting regular risk assessments and safeguarding audits.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through staff development initiatives and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or dementia care is highly desirable.
- Strong background in managing care homes or residential facilities with supervising responsibilities.
- Knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration, and regulatory compliance within residential or home care settings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage staff performance effectively.
- Experience working with children or young people in a residential setting is essential; familiarity with safeguarding procedures is required.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Relevant management qualifications such as NVQ Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are preferred.
- A compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
