The Role
Are you a confident, natural communicator who enjoys building relationships and having conversations with interesting people? At Fortem International, a leading independent trade exhibition organiser working across international markets, we're hiring a Delegate Engagement Executive to join our Bristol team. No industry experience is required — full training is provided.
You'll spend your day connecting with senior decision-makers — including C-suite executives and government officials — inviting them to attend our trade shows and helping them see the value in being there. It's conversation-led, relationship-focused work, and it's the starting point for a career with real earning potential and a clear route upward.
We're hiring urgently and can offer an immediate start to the right candidates.
We're growing fast and have multiple positions available on this team right now.
This isn't a dead-end role. Many of our senior leaders started exactly here. We promote from within, and this position is built to be the first step — not the last.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reaching out to senior stakeholders, government officials, and C-suite executives by phone and LinkedIn to invite them to our trade shows
- Building genuine rapport and understanding what would make the event valuable for them
- Learning our show formats, industry verticals, and the international events landscape
- Working towards clear weekly and monthly goals, with support and coaching to help you hit them
Where This Can Take You
Performance decides your progression here — not time served.
Engagement pathway: Delegate Engagement → SDR (booking appointments for the senior sales team) → Sales Executive → Account Manager → Senior Sales (commission potential in excess of £100,000/year)
Marketing & Comms pathway: Delegate Engagement → Marketing & Comms Executive (campaigns, email, LinkedIn, partnerships, content) → Audience Development Manager → Marketing & Comms Manager (running your own show)
What We're Looking For

- Positive, motivated, and reliable
- Open to coaching and feedback
- Organised and comfortable in a busy office environment
- Any background considered — sales, hospitality, retail, customer service, or a recent graduate; what matters is how you communicate
- Bristol-based, or able to commute in daily
