Kitchen & Bathroom Replacements
Firstcall Trade Services Ltd is looking for reliable and hardworking labourers to join our team for a major kitchen and bathroom replacement programme in occupied residential properties across Edinburgh.
Engagement: PAYE or self-employed
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Programme: August 2026 to March 2027
THE ROLE
You will support our multi-trade teams as they complete kitchen and bathroom replacements in Council homes. Properties will remain occupied during the works, so a professional attitude, good communication and respect for tenants are essential.
KEY DUTIES
- Assisting joiners, plumbers, electricians and other trades as required
- Carefully removing existing kitchen and bathroom fittings
- Loading, unloading and distributing tools and materials
- Moving materials safely between vehicles and properties
- Removing waste and keeping work areas clean and organised
- Protecting flooring, furniture and tenants’ belongings before work begins
- Preparing properties for each stage of the installation programme
- Carrying out basic making-good tasks where appropriate
- Following site instructions and safe working procedures
- Reporting damage, hazards or unforeseen issues promptly
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous labouring or construction experience
- Previous experience working in occupied homes is preferred
- Full driving licence and own reliable transport
- Reliable, punctual and physically capable of carrying out manual work
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively within a multi-trade team
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements
- Professional and respectful approach when dealing with tenants and colleagues
- Willingness to maintain clean and considerate working areas throughout the project
A valid CSCS card is preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate suitable experience and a reliable work history.
