We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our small, welcoming team at our Hungerford bistro. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the Bistro, supporting our chefs and helping us maintain the organised environment our guests rely on.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and running smoothly throughout service
- Washing pots, pans, utensils, and equipment
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Basic food preparation
- Receiving and organising deliveries
- Ensuring all areas meet food‑safety and hygiene standards
- Supporting the chefs with simple tasks during busy periods
- Cleaning fridges and keeping up with our strict hygene regime

- Previous experience required
