Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in your care. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector. Strong motivation and good communication skills are desirable to facilitate effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans in accordance with organisational standards
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the quality of life for those in your care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies
- Assist with medication administration as per training and organisational protocols
- Support clients with household tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning when required
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure holistic care delivery
- Accompany residents to appointments or outings if required, ensuring safety for clients
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate commute to work if outside Stockton, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool and Bishop Auckland areas
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: £13.20-£15.00 per hour
