Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Finance Data Admin to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll function and assisting with the organisation's financial operations. This position involves timesheet data entry & review, payroll preparation for senior approval, vehicle tracker investigations, and sales invoicing.
Duties
- Preparation & distribution of 200+ timesheets.
- Entry of data into payroll for final preparation.
- Timesheet data entry & review.
- Timesheet & vehicle tracker investigations.
- Management of engineer timesheet queries.
- Assist in the processing of sales invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding customer invoicing queries.
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable files and records.
- Customer account reconciliation.
- Prepare and send out statements, reminders, and cash collection documentation to clients.
- Monitoring customer accounts to ensure timely payment is made.
- Provide assistance to the accounts payable function as and when required
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a payroll or finance-related role is required.
- Proficient Excel skills, i.e., spreadsheet management and basic formulas, are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting & payroll software is required.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Working hours are 37.5 per week, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 17:00. Typical shift patterns: 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00.
22 days per year annual leave entitlement + UK bank holidays.
