THE ROLE
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Contract type: Part time, Term time
Salary: £2,658 per annum, including holiday entitlement. Based on working full academic year.
Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:10 to 13:10.
Relationships:
1.Reports directly to the Head of Prep in all School matters in the Prep School
2.Works closely with other lunchtime supervisors in the Prep School Duties: Duties outlined in this job description may be modified by the line manager, with the post holder’s agreement, to reflect changes in the job, commensurate with the salary and job title.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Supervision
Be responsible for the conduct of all children in your care Encourage good behaviour from all pupils in line with the School’s code of conduct
Ensure all children are safe Escort pupils to lunch when required and encourage good table manners
Be active during supervision periods so that all children are visible Administer basic first aid when required Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate line manager.
There will be a periodic review to ensure that the principal duties have remained as stated above or that any changes have been made in agreement with the incumbent.
The duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy changes in which case appropriate training may be given to enable the post holder to undertake this new/varied work.

Safeguarding
The post holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Child Protection Policy Statement at all times.
If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risk to the safety or welfare of children in the School s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Person or to the Headmaster.
