Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Bricklayers to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and setting out work areas
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bricklaying
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels
- Experience operating power tools including mixers, drills, and saws
- Knowledge of construction techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Relevant certifications or apprenticeships in bricklaying or masonry are desirable but not essential
- NHBC experience
