We are currently recruiting teachers for non-residential summer positions in London
Collingham:
Age range: Adults generally aged 35+
Date: Mon 20 July - Friday 24 July (possibly extending until Friday 7 Aug)
Location: 23 Collingham Gardens, London, SW5 0HL. Nearest tube: Gloucester Road or Earls Court.
Class times: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 12:30. Additional afternoon 1:1 classes may be available.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging English as a Foreign Language lessons for international adults.
Lessons are lively, interactive, and based on student needs. Learning activities help students develop accuracy, fluency, and confidence in spoken English.
We are a family-run organisation with over 20 years experience running top quality summer programmes. We have truly multinational courses with limits on each language group. In 2025 we welcomed students of 42 different nationalities.
Working with Discovery Summer provides an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team (all staff on the Collingham adult team have worked with us before) and acquire new teaching skills at a British Council accredited school. In our 2023 British Council inspection we were awarded 12 strengths.

Qualifications
- Hold a valid UK work permit by the start of your employment
- A first degree in any discipline (preferable) CELTA, Trinity TESOL or EFL Level 5 equivalent (other qualifications will be considered)
You need to be able to:
- Provide a clear and accurate model of the English language
- Plan and deliver student-centred, interactive lessons
- Apply classroom management techniques to ensure happy, focused classrooms
- Respond and adapt to feedback, be flexible
To succeed in this role, you should already have experiences:
- teaching groups of adults

- Expert communicators and team players
- Comfortable using online and digital systems e.g. Google Suite
Salary and benefits
Teaching hours from £20.40 to £26.42 gross per hour + 12.07% holiday pay
£20 weekly payment for meetings.
