We're recruiting a Plasterer (Skilled) to support building maintenance and improvement works. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone experienced in plastering, reliable, and confident carrying out repairs and general manual labour duties to a high standard.
About the Role:
As a Plasterer, you'll carry out plastering, repairs, maintenance, and improvement works while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safe working practices, and excellent service delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carrying out plastering repairs in occupied and void council properties
- Ensuring all works meet required standards and comply with legislation
- Following health & safety requirements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Using council-issued vehicles, tools, and materials responsibly
- Maintaining properties in good condition after works are completed
- Recording and updating job information accurately
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and customers to coordinate work
- Supporting responsive maintenance and delivering high-quality customer service
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking skilled plasterers with a recognised trade qualification and experience in responsive maintenance.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent City & Guilds craft certificate in plastering (other trades also considered)
- Recognised trade apprenticeship
- Experience working in responsive maintenance and social housing stock
- Good communication skills and ability to resolve customer issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Full and valid driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Evidence of qualifications (to be presented at interview)
