Brown and Gammons Ltd are a leading MG Specialist and we sell, service and restore all MGs from the 1940s to the present day modern MG electric vehicles.
We have a vacancy for an experienced mechanic/technician. Responsibilities will include everything from a simple service up to an engine rebuild. Working on a diverse range of cars from classics and sportscars right upto the new MG electric vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes.
- At least ten years workshop experience
- A passion for their work
- MoT tester qualification preferred
- Committed to working to the highest standards with the attention to detail our customers expect
- Self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative without supervision
- A broad range of skills from diagnostic fault-finding to complex mechanical builds
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Experience in working on older/classic vehicles
- The ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to keep detailed records of work carried out and time spent
- A comprehensive tool kit
- Full clean driving licence
Whilst it would be preferable to have experience of working on Classic cars, it is more important that the candidate has the requisite skill set, standards and attitude. Onsite and offsite training will be required as part of maintaining and enhancing your skill set.
Our working hours are 8.15am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We offer a friendly, enjoyable working environment and the opportunity to work on some interesting and varied projects.
