Ahead of a busier than ever start to summer, we are seeking a talented chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a similar quality gastro pub setting, high food preparation skills, a passion about cooking, and awareness of kitchen management.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to help lead culinary operations, oversee food production, and ensure exceptional service standards within a vibrant hospitality environment. The successful applicant will passionate, dynamic and happy to work in a busy kitchen, whilst always maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
We are looking for a full time team member, but part time may be considered for the right fit. Salary will be dependant on experience and discussed upon interview.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production and service
- Manage food inventory, organise stock rotation, and ensure proper storage practices
- Oversee all aspects of food safety compliance, including hygiene standards and allergen management
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with health regulations
- Innovate menu items by contributing creative ideas that align with current trends
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong skills in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
