About the Job
We’re looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist / Groundwater Modeller to join our established Water Resources team, based in either our Brisbane or Perth office.
Worley’s Australian Water Resources team is a diverse group of hydrogeologists, hydrologists and water engineers working collaboratively across Australia to deliver water management solutions for our clients. We operate as an independent service line as well as part of larger multidisciplinary teams, supporting a wide range of technically challenging projects across Australia and internationally.
We partner with our clients across the mining, hydrocarbons, chemicals and infrastructure sectors, delivering groundwater resource investigations, groundwater modelling, water supply studies and environmental impact assessments. Our team is highly experienced, with many members having worked together for more than 20 years, providing a collaborative culture, strong technical mentorship and long-term career opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on major projects from inception through to closure, contributing to field investigations, assessments and studies that support conceptual and detailed engineering design. We're seeking someone with strong technical capability, excellent communication skills, a client-focused mindset and a passion for working within high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Australian hydrogeology team in the delivery of hydrogeology strategy, pursuits and projects across Australia.
- Provide technical input and support on projects as required.
- Plan and supervise hydrogeological investigations and studies.
- Prepare proposals, contract documentation and technical specifications.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary pursuits and support the ongoing growth of the team.
- Collaborate with peers and internal clients across the global Worley business.
- Work within the provisions and guidelines of Worley’s Quality Assurance System.
- Implement safe work practices and maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance.
What You’ll Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Hydrogeology from a recognised institution. A Master’s degree in Hydrogeology or Geology is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in numerical groundwater modelling.
- Proven experience leading and delivering technical projects.
- Experience across the full hydrogeological project lifecycle.
- Strong capability in geological and hydrogeological assessment and problem solving.
- Experience developing conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models.
- Experience supervising, reviewing and delivering technical reports.
- Significant experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and relationship-focused approach.
- Extensive experience planning and managing field investigations for groundwater resource definition and impact assessment.
- Active involvement in national and/or international hydrogeological communities.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
