Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the Head Housekeeper and operational functions of our Country House Hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel housekeeping, demonstrating leadership qualities and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Duties
- Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and organisation across all guest areas.
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff, providing training, guidance, and motivation to uphold service standards.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as quality standards.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen, placing orders as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
- Handle guest requests related to housekeeping promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Assist with administrative duties such as reporting maintenance issues or staff attendance records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments, with a strong understanding of industry standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with staff and guests.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to hospitality settings.
Hours will be based on 40 hours per week including weekends.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
