An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team at our Witham branch. Shift times are as follows:
Monday 10:30 to 19:00
Tuesday 08:30 to 17:00
Wednesday 09:30 to 18:00
Thursday 08:30 to 17:00
Friday 08:30 to 17:00
You will also be required to work an occasional Saturday, to cover annual leave.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by accurately dispensing medications and providing excellent patient care. The Pharmacy Dispenser will be responsible for ensuring the correct preparation and distribution of prescriptions, maintaining precise records, and assisting with medication management. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including counting, packaging, and labelling prescriptions
- Support medication administration processes by providing clear instructions to patients and carers
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
- Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
- Assist in stock management, including ordering supplies and checking expiry dates
- Uphold confidentiality and data protection regulations when handling patient information
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser in the UK
- NVQ2 in Dispensing essential
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Experience in patient care environments demonstrating strong communication skills
- Familiarity with legal regulations surrounding medication dispensing and record keeping
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: From £12.91 per hour

Experience:
- Dispensing: 1 year (preferred)
- UK Community Pharmacy: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ2 in Dispensing (preferred)
