Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team from Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, efficiently, and in a timely manner for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in meal planning and inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items
- Support the team in maintaining a positive working environment during busy morning shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially related to breakfast dishes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Previous restaurant experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for breakfast cuisine is essential
- Ability to serve guests courteously and professionally when required
