Position: Physiotherapist BTEC/Elite and Junior Academy
Reporting to: Head of Academy Coaching and Head of Academy Operations
Overall Objective: Assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions related to players within, Elite and Junior Academy plus BTEC and the implementation of appropriate treatment and rehabilitation strategies. Pre training management of players including strapping and taping and administration of treatment as required.
Summary of Duties:
· Assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions related to players within the afore mentioned squads squad and the implementation of appropriate treatment and rehabilitation strategies.
· Pre training management of players including strapping and taping and administration of
treatment as required.
· Delivery of individual and squad based injury prevention programmes based on screening,
past medical history and injury trends.
· The examination and assessment of all new players into the Academy and BTEC
· Implementing strategies to maximising player performance on the football field from a
medical perspective.
· Reporting of all injuries to the and provide updates on all Head of Academy Coaching and Head of Academy Operations
player’s rehabilitation progress
· Arrange consultations with medical personnel and any relevant investigation related to an
injury.
· Complete comprehensive and confidential medical records for all players
· Provide medical cover for all BTEC fixtures
· Be involved in clinical governance and maintain professional registration
· To attend and contribute to all relevant training for Macclesfield FC Staff
· To attend all relevant Macclesfield FC staff meetings
· To keep up to date with all Macclesfield FC correspondence
· Ensure you are aware of and keep updated in regards to best practice policies
· To show clear evidence of planning and evaluating
. To be prepared to do other duties to further the development of Macclesfield FC as and when required
ESSENTIAL
· BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy/Sports Rehab Degree
· ITMMIF In date Qualification
· Registration with CSP and HCPC
· Flexible working hours required. Local, national and international travel where necessary.
· Must interconnect with all relevant MFC departments.
· Must have experience of using Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Have a flexible attitude to work.
· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
· Have a polite and courteous manner.
· Be organised and have good time management skills.
· The ability to meet stringent deadlines.
· Be able to adapt to different and changing situations.

· Hold a current DBS Enhanced certificate.
· Own personal Indemnity Insurance
· Full clean driving licence.
· Be prepared to work evenings and weekends.
Desirable
Hold a full UK driving licence.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £17.50-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
