An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, ambitious, resilient and motivated person to work as a Service manager for our supported living services in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. This Person will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality of support to our customers.
The applicant will demonstrate effective communication skills and have experience within and knowledge of supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, complex needs with Health needs, and some who may present with behaviours that can challenge. Experience of being a manager is also desirable. The applicant must demonstrate a sound understanding of the regulatory and legal requirements of the role and show to be IT literate. On-site and ongoing professional development opportunities will be provided.
The post is contracted 40 hours per week. This position requires a level 5 QCF qualification or you will be willing to work towards a level 5 once in the position.
You will be required to attend a formal interview wherein you will be asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation. You will be notified of the subject topic beforehand.
JOB JOB SUMMARY
- To ensure the effective, safe and profitable running of the service.
- To ensure that the needs of all the customers are met in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independent living and rehabilitation required by the commissioners of the service.
- To process customer referrals from partner agencies and commissioners (Health and Social Care Professionals).
- To provide support to all service based staff members and to participate in the provision of a 24-hour ‘On Call’ basis.
- To ensure that all legislation as required by the Care Quality Commission, HSE, DPA and Local Authorities are complied with.
- To meet with the Operations Manager and/or Area Manager on a regular basis (usually monthly), and provide reports as required.
- To be actively involved in the development of the service and the company as a whole and to be responsible for staff schedules and operational matters.
- To encourage PR and marketing and to support the Company in going forward with its expansion programme and to ensure that forward-planning and high standards are balanced within the home.
- To develop and assist with maintaining a regular ‘round robin’ newsletter to share with partner agencies, commissioners and customer representative group.
- To be active with regular Quality Assurance surveys and in conjunction with the Operations Manager & Area Manager produce yearly Service Business Plans.
- To be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely implementation of the Safeguarding processes and procedures as and when necessary.
- To participate in QA responsibilities company wide.
- To be the ambassador for Independent Lifestyles through networking.
- To continue to identify your own professional learning and development.
