Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week.
5 days out of 7.
Typically 8:30am to 4:30pm, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of the business.
Weekend cover on a rota basis, typically working 1 Saturday in 3.
Location:
Multi-site, covering 3 central London properties.

The role/responsibilities:
Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, your background and experience in plumbing will mean you take responsibility for the domestic plumbing installations in the hotel bathrooms, kitchen and housekeeping areas, while supporting the maintenance team to ensure that all daily proactive and reactive maintenance tasks and repairs are carried out in a timely manner, in line with brand standards, with the minimum disruptions to our business and most importantly our guests.
Applicants should have a friendly, adaptable approach and be able to work as part of a team but equally be competent to take on a task and see it through to completion when working alone.
The eccentric styling of these Georgian properties often requires a creative approach to the task in hand. You should have a passion for period buildings and the experience to overcome the unique challenges that they present. Experience working in buildings of a similar age and grandeur is essential.
Skills:
We are looking for an experienced multitask engineer with a plumbing bias. You should have a diverse skill base, enabling you to confidently carry out the range of tasks necessary to ensure the upkeep of our Georgian properties.
This would include plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrics, general repairs and decoration, in addition to daily, weekly, and monthly PPMs, monitoring and inspections.
You should have an up-to-date qualification.
- Plumbing - Level 2 NVQ, equivalent, or above
As part of the selection process, you will need to demonstrate;
- Excellent communication and the ability to work with colleagues in all areas of the hotel.
- Experience working with domestic plumbing installations and the ability to demonstrate safe working practices.
- Competency in general repairs.
- Competency in painting / decorating and finishes.
- The ability to maintain maintenance records.
- A basic knowledge of electrical installations and safe working practices.
- Skill in maintenance fault finding and delivering effective short-term and permanent solutions.
- A keen eye for detail. You must be passionate about the finish.
