About the Role:
As General Manager, you will work alongside our operations manager running the day to day operation of the venue, ensuring outstanding customer service, strong financial performance, and a positive team culture. From recruitment and training to driving sales and maintaining high operational standards, you'll lead every aspect of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful launch and ongoing operation of the venue.
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable guest experiences.
- Manage rotas, labour costs and staffing levels.
- Drive sales, profitability and achievement of financial targets.
- Oversee stock management, ordering and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food safety, health & safety and company policies.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly business performance.
- Work closely with senior management to implement promotions, events and business initiatives.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
- Lead by example and create a positive, energetic working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Deputy General Manager or experienced Bar Manager in a high-volume hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and manage costs.
- Experience recruiting, training and developing teams.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
- Personal Licence (preferred but not essential).
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great customer experiences.
