Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kennel Hand to join our vibrant animal care team. In this role, you will be the backbone of daily kennel operations, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our animals while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Feed, water, and monitor animals’ health and behavior throughout your shift
- Provide gentle handling and socialisation to ensure animals feel safe and comfortable
- Support staff with basic animal care tasks as needed, including administering medications under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of animal intake, discharge, and health status
- Help with loading and unloading animals during transfers or appointments, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Engage with pet owners in a friendly manner, providing updates or answering questions about their animals’ care
Skills
- Previous Kennel experience or animal care background is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or animals
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and record keeping
- Reliable, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for animal welfare
- Must be able to manage large and challenging Dogs.

Pay: £25,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
