Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse & Goods In/Out Supervisor to oversee daily operations related to materials handling, shipping, and receiving within our logistics centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, ensuring process optimisation, and leading a team to maintain efficient goods flow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and a solid background in warehouse management systems and logistics.
Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including goods in and out processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials using appropriate handling equipment such as forklifts
- Oversee the utilisation of warehouse management systems (WMS) Business central
- Lead and manage warehouse team members, providing training and support to optimise productivity and safety standards
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in shipping, receiving, and materials handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including heavy lifting protocols and mechanical safety measures
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain activities
- Maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, inventory levels, and stock movements
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles, preferably within a similar industry environment
- Strong knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts and mechanical tools
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) Business central
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous team management responsibilities
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, including 3PL coordination
- Mechanical knowledge advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations
- Excellent organisational skills with a focus on process optimisation and continuous improvement

Pay: £28,350.00-£34,320.00 per year
