LOCATION: Luton
We are looking for energetic and active individuals to support our 13 year old male client who has cerebral palsy. Our Client lives at home with his family and attends a local school. Our Client has both physical and communication difficulties which impact on his daily life. He enjoys swimming, trampolining, sensory activities and visiting new places. He requires support for all aspects of daily living, including personal care, therapy and social activities. Your role will include implementing therapy plans to enable him to make choices, increase his abilities and develop his communication skills.
Within the role, you will be supported by a wider multi-disciplinary team and case management service. You will have paid annual leave and pension scheme. All training is paid for and Support Worker training / development is encouraged and supported
AVAILABLE DAY SHIFTS:
TERM TIME:
3.30pm to 8pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
HOLIDAY TIME
9am to 7pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
You would also be expected to cover annual leave and sickness which could be:
Mon-Tues – 3.30pm to 8pm term time, 9am to 7pm school holidays
Saturday – 9am to 8pm
Sunday – 9am to 7pm
ABOUT YOU:
Previous care experience and /or therapy background would be an advantage. Our Client has some complex needs such as a PEG and challenging behaviour, therefore experience in complex care is desirable.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and minimum of two professional references.
