Warehouse TechnicianTHAT Event Company Ltd
Location: North Weston, Oxfordshire (between Thame & Oxford)
Salary: £26,500 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week over 4 days (typically four 10-hour shifts)
Join our event production team.
THAT Event Company delivers exceptional live events across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. From conferences and corporate events to weddings, festivals and prestigious heritage venues, we provide professional sound, lighting, staging, power and audiovisual production.
We're looking for a motivated, practical and organised Warehouse Technician to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you'll be testing audio equipment, building event kits and loading vehicles; the next you could be delivering equipment to a venue or maintaining our warehouse ready for the next event.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with technology and taking pride in producing high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing equipment for live events.
- Testing lighting, audio, video and staging equipment.
- Picking and scanning equipment using our stock management system.
- Building complete equipment packages for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading company vehicles safely.
- Delivering and collecting equipment from venues.
- Booking returned equipment back into stock.
- Cleaning, maintaining and organising equipment.
- Identifying faults and reporting repairs.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
What we're looking for
We're more interested in attitude than years of experience.
You'll be someone who:
- Takes pride in doing things properly.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Is physically capable of lifting and moving event equipment safely.
- Has good communication skills.
- Is keen to learn new technical skills.
- Can remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
Previous experience within live events, warehouses, logistics or technical production is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Essential requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Comfortable driving company vans for deliveries and collections.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support live events.
- Ability to work safely whilst lifting and moving equipment.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working hours
Our team works a 4-day working week, with 40 hours typically completed over four 10-hour shifts.
Due to the nature of live events:
- Some shifts may be split shifts, with a break during the day before returning for an evening event.
- Evening and weekend work forms part of the role.
- Start and finish times vary depending on event schedules, but work is planned well in advance wherever possible.
- Overtime and additional hours may be available during busy periods.
- While this is a warehouse-based position, there may occasionally be a requirement to assist onsite with deliveries or event support in exceptional circumstances, such as covering staff absence or responding to operational requirements.
No two weeks are ever the same, making this an exciting role for someone who enjoys variety.
What you'll receive
- Salary of £26,500–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Four-day working week.
- Company pension.
- Paid training and development.
- Opportunities to gain industry-recognised qualifications.
- Opportunity to work with professional event production equipment.
- Modern equipment and technology.
- Friendly, supportive team environment.
- Career progression within a growing production company.
