Are you passionate about supporting your local community and making a real difference? We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Relief Shop Manager (predominantly at our Winchester branch) to join our hospice charity shop team.
Every purchase, donation and volunteer hour helps us raise vital funds to support patients and families receiving hospice care. By joining our team, you'll play an important role in helping us provide compassionate care when it matters most.
About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in the absence of the primary manager, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly. You will help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers while supporting the day-to-day running of the shop.
You will assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers, encouraging them to take on key roles and extra responsibility. You will organise and manage the volunteer rota, ensuring everyone is aware of their hours of work.
Responsibilites include:
Providing excellent customer service
Serving customers and operating the till
Receiving and sorting donations
Pricing and displaying stock attractively
Maintaining high standards of shop presentation
Supporting stock rotation and merchandising
Helping to promote Gift Aid where appropriate
Working as part of a friendly team of staff and volunteers
Ensuring a safe, clean and organised shop environment
