Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, taking orders, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where attention to detail and efficiency are highly valued. Previous experience in food service or barista roles is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will also get tips in this position and the tips will typically add £3 per hour to your rate.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards
- Refill drinks and ensure guest satisfaction during their visit
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless service
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience in serving or barista roles is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
