This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in influencing organisational culture, supporting leaders to succeed, and ensuring our workforce feel valued, engaged and empowered to do their best work.
Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, you will be a trusted adviser to managers across the organisation, providing expert HR guidance, leading people-focused initiatives and helping to embed our values of Creativity, Impactfulness, Honesty, Kindness, Inclusivity and Bravery in everything we do.
What You Will Be Doing
As our People & Culture Manager, you will lead and support a broad range of people initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including:
- Partnering with managers to build high-performing, engaged and inclusive teams.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations and people management best practice.
- Supporting organisational change and helping leaders navigate challenges with confidence.
- Driving learning and development initiatives that empower managers and employees to grow and succeed.
- Leading our health and wellbeing programme, championing a positive and supportive workplace culture.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention activities to attract and retain talented people.
- Using employee feedback and people data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change.
- Working collaboratively to embed Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice across all aspects of our people practices.
- Managing and developing the People & Culture Advisor to ensure an excellent HR service across the organisation.
Why Join Norwich Theatre?
This is more than an HR role. It’s an opportunity to influence culture, support creativity and make a meaningful impact on the people behind some of the region’s most inspiring artistic experiences.
You will join a collaborative and values-led organisation where people matter, ideas are welcomed and wellbeing is genuinely prioritised. You will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, shape the employee experience and help build an inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong.
About You
You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong track record of building relationships, supporting managers and delivering practical people solutions.
You will bring:
- CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations matters.
- Experience leading HR projects, organisational change or people initiatives.
- A passion for creating inclusive workplaces and championing equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and provide balanced, risk-based advice.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to helping people succeed.
An interest in the arts and cultural sector would be an advantage, but most importantly you’ will share our passion for creating a workplace where people can do their best work and feel part of something meaningful.
Ready To Make An Impact?
If you are passionate about people, culture and creating positive change, we would love to hear from you.
