CleneHaven is looking for experienced and trustworthy self-employed domestic cleaners to support residential cleaning assignments across Brentwood and surrounding areas.
We are looking for cleaners who can provide a professional and consistent service to weekly and fortnightly clients. Additional one-off assignments may also be available for cleaners with deep-cleaning, end-of-tenancy or move-in cleaning experience.
Assignments may be offered across Brentwood, Romford, Barking, Basildon, Wickford and Chelmsford. Applicants are not expected to cover every location and can specify their preferred working areas.
Main responsibilities
Depending on the property, duties may include:
- General household cleaning
- Dusting furniture and surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
- Cleaning kitchens and external appliance surfaces
- Cleaning bedrooms and living spaces
- Following cleaning checklists and client instructions
- Taking before-and-after photographs where requested
- Reporting maintenance concerns or cleaning issues
- Treating clients’ homes and belongings with care
Applicant requirements
Suitable applicants will:
- Have experience providing domestic or residential cleaning
- Be reliable and able to arrive at agreed times
- Work independently to a high standard
- Have strong attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Be comfortable following written property instructions
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Be able to travel reliably within their selected working area
Due to the distance between some Essex properties, a driving licence and access to a vehicle are strongly preferred.

This is a self-employed contractor opportunity. The amount and location of work offered will depend on client demand, suitability and your confirmed availability.
