Duties
- Offer personalized care and emotional support to children and young people, ensuring their well-being is prioritized at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational activities to promote independence
- Implement tailored activities that support developmental goals, including educational games, creative projects, and social interactions
- Mentor children by providing guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling to foster self-esteem and resilience
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop individual support plans that meet each child's unique needs
- Monitor progress and document observations to inform ongoing care strategies and report any concerns promptly
- Support children during outings or community activities to enhance social skills and confidence
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people in a supportive or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Knowledge of teaching methods suitable for diverse learning needs
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, families, and team members
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism
- Relevant certifications or training in child care or support work are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to undertake necessary training is expected
