About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organised and animal-loving young person to join a successful local dog walking business. The role would particularly suit a school leaver looking to gain valuable business experience while learning a wide range of administrative, customer service and operational skills.
Working directly with the owner, you will become an integral part of the business, helping to coordinate daily operations, manage client relationships and support the continued growth of the company. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the business.
- Answer telephone calls, text messages and customer enquiries in a friendly and professional
- manner.
- Organise the daily dog walking schedule and maintain the business calendar.
- Arrange and attend introductory meetings with prospective clients.
- Create and manage content across social media platforms.
- Support the owner with general business administration and personal assistance.
- Occasionally carry out dog walks and pet sitting when required.
- Maintain accurate client records and appointments.
- Represent the business professionally at all times while delivering excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Confident using computers, smartphones and social media.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Genuine love of animals, particularly dogs.
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Flexible approach to working hours when required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience caring for dogs or other animals.
- Previous customer service or administrative experience.
- Knowledge of North West London.
- Interest in social media, marketing or small business management.
