We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join our Facilities Team supervising our Newport Clinics. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of vital facilities services across community healthcare settings, ensuring patients, staff and visitors benefit from safe, clean and welcoming environments.
The working hours are 13:30 - 20:00 Monday to Friday.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
As a Facilities Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of facilities staff, ensuring services are delivered effectively and safely across a range of community sites. You will oversee day-to-day facilities operations, including cleaning, catering, portering and other support services, ensuring compliance with NHS Wales standards and Health Board policies.
Working closely with clinical and operational colleagues, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and service quality. You will also play a key role in staff supervision, training, performance management and service improvement.
Main Responsibilities
Supervise and support facilities staff across community healthcare locations.
Monitor service quality and ensure standards are consistently achieved.
Conduct regular site visits and work closely with clinical teams.
Promote a culture of safety, quality and excellent customer service.
Manage staff performance, attendance, training and development.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene and Infection Prevention requirements.
Monitor stock levels, equipment and resources to ensure effective service delivery.
Respond to service issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
