Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development and enjoy working with young children.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development and learning.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating environment.
- Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal care.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere.
- Observe and record children's progress and behaviour as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine interest in child development and education is crucial.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is an advantage but not mandatory.
Hours for this role will be 7:30am-10:30am
