The Role:
To act as the second-in-command to the Head of Delivery, leading the day-to-day operational delivery of Star Studios and programme excellence across Adventure Camps.
This is a hybrid leadership + delivery role — combining:
- Operational ownership
- Programme design and quality control
- Frontline coaching and team leadership
You will play a key role in ensuring that every child’s experience is high-energy, structured, safe, and unforgettable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Star Studios Operations (Term-Time Lead)
You are the operational engine of Star Studios.
- Oversee weekly session delivery across all age groups
- Manage staff rotas, cover, and staffing consistency
- Ensure sessions start/finish smoothly and professionally
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, energy, and engagement
- Support showcases, performances, and parent-facing moments
- Act as on-site lead in Dan’s absence
Success = sessions run like clockwork and feel premium
2. Adventure Camps Programme Lead (Holiday Focus)
You own the experience design and delivery quality of camps.
- Plan and structure weekly camp programmes
- Design engaging, varied, and age-appropriate activities
- Coordinate zone leads (sports, creative, tech, perform)
- Ensure smooth daily flow and transitions
- Troubleshoot delivery issues in real time
- Lead briefings and daily team check-ins
Success = camps feel exciting, organised, and seamless
3. Coaching & Session Delivery
You are not just managing — you are on the floor leading from the front.
- Deliver high-quality sessions across:
- Performing Arts
- Multi-Activity / Games
- Leadership programmes
- Step into sessions where needed (cover, support, high-value groups)
- Model energy, engagement, and professionalism
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Mentor assistant coaches and developing staff (LIT pipeline)
- Drive team culture: energy, accountability, positivity
- Deliver feedback and performance improvement conversations
- Help build a loyal, returning staff team
5. Systems, Standards & Compliance
- Ensure ratios, safeguarding, and policies are always met
- Support risk assessments and operational planning
- Maintain high standards of site setup and presentation
- Work with Ops Manager on logistics and staffing systems
6. Parent & Customer Experience
- Be a visible and approachable presence for parents
- Handle queries, issues, and feedback professionally
- Help create “wow moments” that drive retention

Essential Experience
- Experience leading teams in:
- Holiday camps, schools, or youth programmes
- Strong session delivery experience (sports, performing arts, or multi-activity)
- Proven ability to manage operations or programmes
- Experience working with children aged 3–16
Desirable Experience
- Performing arts background (dance, drama, film)
- Camp or large-scale programme management
- Safeguarding and first aid qualifications
- Experience developing staff or leading training

Pay: £20.00 per hour
