Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and responsive care to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Manage daily routines, including feeding, napping, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team atmosphere.
- Document children's progress and maintain accurate records as required.
- Support children in developing their independence and self-care skills.
Skills
- Strong background in childcare with relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or similar fields.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- Leadership qualities to guide and support junior staff or volunteers.
- Experience working with children of various ages, particularly in a nursery setting.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or events.
- Ability to engage with children creatively through play, storytelling, and educational activities.
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
